We are the longest running guide service in the fly water

Home Page

Come fish the famed North Umpqua with us at Summer Run, the most experienced guiding team on the river. The North Umpqua is world famous for its wild steelhead runs, lush scenery and rich tradition of fly fishing.  Our summer trips employ both single hand and two handed rods focusing mainly on dry line skating and streamer presentations. The North Umpqua summer fish average 6 to 8 pounds with the occasional fish over 10 pounds. Most summer fish in the fly water will be wild with a few stray hatchery fish coming up from Rock Creek fish hatchery. We offer both full and half day trips. We start to see summer fish in June with the fishing really picking up in July. We run summer trips to November 15th.

We start winter fishing January 1st and run to April 15th. We fish the North Umpqua as well as other south coast and central coast rivers. The winter fish average 10 to 15 pounds with the trophy 20 pounder very possible. If you are considering a trip on the North Umpqua in March or early April make reservations early these dates fill fast.
